Dhanurasana
Lie flat on the stomach on the ground. After relaxing your muscles for a few seconds bend your legs over the thighs. Hold right ankle with right hand and the left ankle with left hand. Raise your head and body so that the whole body weight is on the abdomen. The body posture in this position resembles a bow or 'dhanush', which is why this asana is called dhanurasana.

Dhanurasana tones up the back muscles, invigorates digestion, appetite, and cures gastrointestinal and abdominal viscera disorders. This asana is very beneficial for diabetic patients as it helps in the formation and flow of insulin.
