| Lie down flat with your stomach on the
ground, with both feet touching each other. Let the toes touch the ground and heels facing
the sky. Place the hands at the sides, palms facing the ground. Raise the elbows upwards.
Raise the body so that the weight of the body is on the palms and toes. Remain in this
pose for sometime. Keep in mind that only your palms and toes touch the ground. Slowly try
to raise hand and leg of one side and move them forward and backward. Repeat the same with
the other leg and hand. Makarasana improves digestion and stomach disorders. Since this
asana exercises the body greatly, blood circulation improves. People suffering from
insomnia are the beneficiaries. To get the beat results from makarasana, perform shavasana
after it. This will provide the body with adequate rest. Avoid bathing immediately after
