Makarasana

Lie down flat with your stomach on the ground, with both feet touching each other. Let the toes touch the ground and heels facing the sky. Place the hands at the sides, palms facing the ground. Raise the elbows upwards. Raise the body so that the weight of the body is on the palms and toes. Remain in this pose for sometime. Keep in mind that only your palms and toes touch the ground. Slowly try to raise hand and leg of one side and move them forward and backward. Repeat the same with the other leg and hand.

Makarasana improves digestion and stomach disorders. Since this asana exercises the body greatly, blood circulation improves. People suffering from insomnia are the beneficiaries. To get the beat results from makarasana, perform shavasana after it. This will provide the body with adequate rest. Avoid bathing immediately after the asana has been performed.
