Sinhasana

Sinhasan.gif (2592 bytes)  This asana may be performed in both sitting and standing  position. Sit with your knees bent. Place your hands on the  knees, keeping the arms straight. Bend your body a little forward  from the waist. Don't let your backbone bend. Take a deep breath  a few times and exhale it out completely.  Put in your stomach,  stick out your tongue, and open the eyes to the maximum.

Sinhasana is beneficial for all sorts of throat ailments - tonsils,  boils in mouth, and falling of uvula.
The increased the blood flow tones up the throat muscles. When blood reaches the diseased area, the ailment starts getting cured. This asana reduces tensions, heaviness, and irritation.
